Couneihriember Dehen suggested that a decision on this project be tabled to allow for additional <br />discussion with the homeowners who do not hays a connection to the roadway. <br />Chair Elvig agrees that this could be tabled to have staff take a look at the remaining properties <br />and let the residents know that the City's idea is to return the money to all residents with the <br />assurance the gap is paved, up to 9 feet. <br />City Engineer 7ankowski. suggested that staff could take a look and measure what the actual gap <br />distances are. <br />Chair Elvig stated that Case #2, considering paving the driveway aprons on Welcomes Road <br />would betabled, to allow time for staff to discuss options with homeowners. <br />Chair Elvig asked if anything could be done to address the gravel on the shoulders. <br />Public Works Supervisor Reimer stated that the City would need to rent a rubber fire roller. <br />Chair Elvig suggested that this be included in future contracts to resolvg that issue. <br />Public Works Supervisor Reimer stated that something would need to be done quickly in this <br />situation because it will be freezing soon. ° <br />Mr. Steh~bacher suggested that the City just bring a loaded.dump truck and drive over the areas <br />to pack it down. • <br />Mr. Howe expressed his appreciation to the City Council and staff for their willingness to work <br />with residents on this project. <br />Chair Elvig recessed the Public Works Meeting at 6:26 p.m. and reconvened at 6:30 p.m. <br />Case #1: Report on Riverdale Speed Studies and Request for Stop Sign PIacement <br />Riverdale Drive and Alpaca Street a ' <br />City Engineer ; ai. ski stated ~ that the City had received a lsetiti August of 2007 <br />requesting stops signs be p ' on the east and west leg.of Al treet and Riverdale Drive.' <br />Ho stated that the Public Works o 'ttee had dis this at their October meeting and <br />directed staff to take a look at traffic counts, limit signage and site distances.
