Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09-06-XYX <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2010 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION B BITUMINOUS OVERLAYS <br />(IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 10-03 THROUGH 10-06) <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the. <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on May 11, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2010 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 1, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program <br />Division Bituminous Overlays and Concrete Repairs: <br />Contractor Bid <br />North Valley Inc. Nowthen Mn $ 318,333.80 <br />Rum River Contracting Co Princeton Mn $ 329,043.67 <br />Astech Surface Technologies Corp St Cloud Mn $ 349,459.54 <br />Omann Brothers Paving Albertville Mn $ 352,784.12 <br />Northwest Asphalt Inc Shakopee Mn $ 359,423.25 <br />Hardrives Inc. Rogers Mn $ 369,189.05 <br />AND WHEREAS, North Valley Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with North Valley Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2010 Street <br />,Maintenance Program -Division B, Bituminous Overlays in the amount of $318,333.80. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />RESOLUTION #10-07-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
