Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10-07-XXX <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2010 <br />STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION A CRACKSEALING AND <br />SEALCOATING (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 10-O1 THROUGH 10-03) <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on May 11, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2010 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 1, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program <br />Division A Cracksealing and Sealcoating: <br />Contractor Bid <br />Allied Blacktop Co Maple Grove, Mn $ 265,143.41 <br />Pearson Bros Inc. Hanover, Mn $ 276,636.03 <br />Astech Surface Technologies Corp St Cloud, Mn $ 290,412.34 <br />AND WHEREAS, Allied Blacktop Inc of Maple Grove Minnesota is the lowest <br />responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Allied Blacktop Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2010 Pavement <br />Maintenance Program -Division A, Cracksealing and Sealcoating in the amount of $265,143.41. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />RESOLUTION #10-07-XXX <br />.Page 1 of 2 <br />
