Special Meeting Minutes dated Tuesday, May 23, 2010 Motion by Commissioner Ramsey, seconded by Commissioner Look to approve the Special Meeting Minutes dated May 23, 2010, as submitted. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Commissioner Ramsey, seconded by Commissioner Look, to approve the agenda as submitted. Motion carried. HRA BUSINESS Case #1: Flaherty and Collins Residential Project Development Manager Lazan reviewed the staff report. Chairperson Dehen stated he did not like the site 1 option if it took the future Community Center property. He asked if they needed the expansion on the parking lot now. Development Manager Lazan responded if the HRA chose option 1, the future Community Center would not go on that location. He summarized the options for the parking lot usage. Commissioner Ramsey stated he had reservations about site 1 as he believed that was more conducive to more mixed retail. Chairperson Dehen believed the area would be better suited to have retail and small businesses instead of a residential project. The HRA discussed the parking ramp, density, location of the proposed residential project, and the apartment vacancy rates in other cities. City Attorney Goodrich noted that this meeting could move into closed session to discuss the purchase and sale of property on the NE and NW quadrant of the City Hall Municipal Parking.
