CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in the Alexander <br />Ramsey Room of the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW. <br />Members Present: Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeff Wise <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator/Dir. of Community Development Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Police Chief Jim Way <br />Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />City Engineer Tim Himmer <br />Assistant City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br />Management Intern Jessica Hendricks <br />Darren Lazan, Landform <br />Elwyn Tinklenberg, The Tinklenberg Group <br />Jodi Ruehle, The Tinklenberg Group <br />CALL TO ORDER: <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council work session to order at 6:20 p.m. <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Federal Funding Update by Elwyn Tinklenberg <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that Elwyn Tinklenberg of The Tinklenberg Group was present. <br />Mr. Tinklenberg presented an update related to federal funding. He talked about rail legislation, <br />that Senator Klobuchar had requested $2 million, and Senator Franken had requested $1.4 <br />million for rail funding. He talked about the support the Ramsey station had and that the City of <br />Ramsey has done a good job to gain that support. He talked about the TIF and how that will be a <br />great tool and congratulated the City on the excellent work it has done. <br />City Council Work Session-June 1, 2010 <br />Page 1 of 11 <br />
