6. PUBLIC HEARING None. COUNCIL BUSINESS 7.01: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Daycare in the B-1 General Business District, Case of el Gato con Botas Learning Center, Doris Griep Management Intern Hendricks reviewed the staff report. Councilmember Wise noted there were many other businesses that could go in this location that would generate a lot more traffic. Councilmember Jeffrey believed this was a unique opportunity for this type of business and this was a nice use for this corner. Councilmember Elvig stated he was not a fan of a large daycare in a high traffic area, but he did not see this daycare as an issue and he was for the proposal. Acting Mayor Look stated he was in favor of this business as it would serve the residents and children. Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution #133 adopting Findings of Fact #0871 relating to the applicant's request for a conditional use permit. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Look, Councilmembers McGlone, Jeffrey, Elvig, and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmember Dehen. Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution #134 approving the applicant's request for a conditional use permit to operate a preschooUdaycare center in the Mallard Ponds PUD, based on the Findings of Fact. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Look, Councilmembers McGlone, Jeffrey, Elvig, and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmember Dehen. 7.02: Consider Award of Contract for the Paving of Bituminous Trails Associated with City Project #10-23, East Meandering Commons Park City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to award a contract for the paving of bituminous trail segments within East Meandering Commons Park to Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. in the amount of $49,950.00.
