PUBLIC HEARING <br />None. <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Daycare in the B-1 General <br />Business District, Case of el Gato con Botas Learning Center, Doris Griep <br />Management Intern Hendricks reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Wise noted there were many other businesses that could go in this location that <br />would generate a lot more traffic. <br />Councilmember Jeffrey believed this was a unique opportunity for this type of business and this <br />was a nice use for this corner. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated he was not a fan of a large daycare in a high traffic area, but he did <br />not see this daycare as an issue and he was for the proposal. <br />Acting Mayor Look stated he was in favor of this business as it would serve the residents and <br />children. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution <br />#133 adopting Findings of Fact #0871 relating to the applicant's request for a conditional use <br />permit. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Look, Councilmembers McGlone, Jeffrey, Elvig, and <br />Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmember Dehen. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution <br />#134 approving the applicant's request for a conditional use permit to operate a <br />preschooUdaycare center in the Mallard Ponds PUD, based on the Findings of Fact. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Look, Councilmembers McGlone, Jeffrey, Elvig, <br />and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmember Dehen. <br />7.02: Consider Award of Contract for the Paving of Bituminous Trails Associated with <br />City Project #10-23, East Meandering Commons Park <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to award a contract for <br />the paving of bituminous trail segments within East Meandering Commons Park to Omann <br />Brothers Paving, Inc. in the amount of $49,950.00. <br />City Council /June 22, 2010 <br />Page 5 of 11 <br />
