No. 08-25, § 2, 8-12-2008) <br />Sec. 117-487. -Permit issuance or denial. <br />(a) <br />The zoning administrator shall issue a permit forthe erection; alteration, or relocation of a signwithin 14 days of ' <br />receipt of a completed application and nonrefundable application fee provided that the sign complies with all <br />applicable laws and regulations of the city. <br />ib) <br />When a permit is denied, written notice .shall be provided to the applicant along with a brief statement of the reasons <br />for denial. The zoning administrator or building official may suspend or revoke an issued permit forany false <br />statement or misrepresentation of fact in the application. <br />(Cotle 1978, § 9.12.18; Ord. Stats. § 4112.353, subds. 4, 4a. <br />Sec. 117-489. -Fee refunds and permit expiration; commencing work without permit. <br />(a) <br />If an issued permit is withdrawn by the applicant within 90 days of issuance, and if no inspections have been made <br />and no work authorized by the permit has been performed, 50 percent of the permit fee may be refunded to the <br />applicant. <br />(b) <br />A permit issued by the zoning administrator becomes null and void if work is suspended or abandoned or not <br />completed within six months of issuance, but may be reinstated with an additional payment of one-half of the original <br />fee. <br />(c) <br />Any sign installed or placed on any parcel prior to receipt of a permit, the specified permit fee shall be doubled. <br />However, thepayment of the doubled fee shall not relieve any person of any other requirement or penalties ' <br />prescribed in this section. <br />(Code 1978, § 9.12.19; Ortl.
