Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig and Councilmembers Dehen. Voting No: <br />Councilmember McGlone. <br />City Engineer Himmer stated he would put this on the agenda for Council discussion at the first <br />meeting in July. <br />Case #2: Consider Request to add Municipal Sewer and Water to a portion of IP 08- <br />34 <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. He noted this case was for informational <br />purposes. <br />Chairperson Elvig stated he was nervous about looking at this without a petition with 2/3 <br />signatures. This similar situation that this neighborhood maneuver itself into a few years back <br />because of rumors and pure factures the neighborhood ended up counter petitioning the roadway <br />improvements in its own initial petition. <br />Case #3: Consider Driveway Aprons Paving Policy <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Dehen stated he did not see the purpose of an apron on a gravel driveway, <br />unless it was to keep the gravel in the driveway. He expressed concern with having the apron <br />being ten feet also. <br />Councilmember McGlone stated he agreed assessing the properties and paving the entire setback <br />of fifteen feet. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig to recommend to the City Council that project costs would be a <br />maximum of 200 feet in kind, not to exceed the right-of--way as part of the project cost. <br />Motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Chairperson Elvig, to recommend to the City <br />Council that project costs would be asphalt in kind to the edge of the City's right-of--way for part <br />of the project costs to be spread out. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig and Councilmember McGlone. Voting No: <br />Councilmember Dehen. <br />Case #4: Review Feasibility Study for IP 10-25 the Bituminous Paving of Chameleon <br />Street <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />Public Works Committee./ June 15, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
