Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator/Dir. of Community Development Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Police Chief Jim Way <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Darren Lazan, Landform <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council work session to order at 5:33 p.m. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />2) 2011 General Fund Budget <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich presented information showing the differences in the General Fund <br />Budget between 2010 and 2011. He presented the five strategic goals from the Council/Staff <br />Strategic Planning Session as well as showing revenues and expenditures. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGlone asked about a comment made about taking some one-time monies and <br />paying down debt. He wondered if it is smarter to pay down debt and keep that money in <br />circulation in the budget another way. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated there are other options to look at but in past discussions, it seemed <br />the direction from the Council was to pay down debt. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGlone stated he is an advocate for keeping the tax capacity rate as low as <br />possible. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session - June 29, 2010 <br />Page 1 of 10 <br />
