<br />. EDA Map Update - map of blighted properties that should be looked at for purchase from willing <br />sellers. i.e. Healthquest, Julian Johnson Construction, Brother Properties. . .) The focus has been <br />along Bunker Lake Boulevard in the past and continues to be the focus of the EDA. <br /> <br />There are numerous key projects that the Economic Development Coordinator was in the midst of <br />shepherding to new development, expansion or retention. The following is a summary of the projects <br />that will need to see that continued effort on behalf of the City's economic development to come to <br />fruition: <br /> <br />Current Proiects that are in Proe:resslMovine: Forward: <br />. Firing Range Project - Considering EDA RLF (Revolving Loan Fund) for $100,000, need to <br />develop small subdivision utilizing TIF Dollars from Districts 1, 2, or 4. <br />. QDP & JBT Alliance - Finish up the CIC process for the financing. Job creation needs to be <br />monitored annually for MBAF Forms. <br />. Hwy 10 Signage - EDA Project to consider marquis signage on Hwy 10. <br />. Waltek- Need to continue to work with Waltek regarding retention and possible expansion. <br />. Business Incubator project- This is a project that GMI is interested in pursuing with the property to <br />their east at the comer of Bunker Lake Boulevard and Sunfish Lake Boulevard. Need to continue <br />discussions with GMI regarding this opportunity and city resources that may assist. <br />. Martin EDM - Expansion opportunity. <br />. Wells Catering - Relocation within the City to Ramsey Town Center, EDA considering RLF <br />assistance. <br />. Country Crossings Mall- Site improvements being considered, requesting EDA RLF assistance. <br /> <br />2. Is the position critical? <br /> <br />Critical positions are positions that are, for example, one-position job classes or positions with duties <br />that cannot be modified, reassigned or eliminated. Detailed responses to the following questions will be <br />required in determining whether or not a position is "critical" to providing high-quality services to <br />residents, business owners and/or employees: <br /> <br />a. Explain how this position is key to achieving the strategic goals identified by the City Council. <br /> <br />The following items in the 2010 Council Goals have a direct relationship to the Economic Development <br />position: <br /> <br />Strategic Goal 1: Development/Marketing <br />. 167th Avenue/Highway 47 Redevelopment <br />. Start to Market Old Municipal Center Site <br />. Complete RTC Marketing Plan in Preparation for ICSC <br />. Continue Exploration of New Business Park <br />. Continue Highway 10 Acquisitions (RALF) - Only dilapidated buildings that should be <br />immediately demolished <br />. Highway 10 Marquis Sign <br /> <br />3 <br />
