One suggestion for this ar's meeting is to add a "How to Start a Busines .. seminar. Economic pevelopment Consul :t Mulrooney stated that there are many organizations . ~ willing to sp the meeting. 1fhe questio raised whether this would be advertised as a two-part meeting in e some people terested in only attending one portion of the meem,g and not both. It was su ested that th onnal program run from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the second component of the m . g run m 10:00 a.m. until noon. This would allow a person the flexibility to attend one or both p e meeting. Suggestions for keynote speakers will follow at a later time. ~ Case #5: STAFF UPDATE peputy City Administrator/Community Development Director Nelson stated that since the resignation of the Economic Development Coordinator one month ago, she has been filling in the position on an interim basis. A case is being prepared for the next City Council meeting to request authorization to recruit for the open position. A title of Economic Development and Marketing Manager is being considered, and the hope is to find someone with private sector influence with a marketing background.
