<br />CASE # 5.07 <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br />By: Public Works Staff <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 and discussed the following 5 <br />cases: <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Paving Bituminous Trail Along Alpine Drive <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff presented additional trail segments which coincide with the mill and overlay projects <br />scheduled for this fall which might be considered to increase connectivity of the City trail <br />system. <br /> <br />Motion to recommend City Council approve proposal of Segment B from Armstrong Boulevard <br />to the golf course parking lot. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Consider Pedestrian Crosswalk Modifications on Ramsey Boulevard <br />North of 149th Avenue <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff is proposing to go to the County to look at moving the eXIstmg Ramsey Boulevard <br />crosswalk south approximately 400' to the intersection of 149th Avenue and is asking for <br />authorization to advance this with Anoka County. <br /> <br />Motion to recommend City Council authorize staff to draft a letter to Anoka County requesting <br />the relocation of the crosswalk on Ramsey Boulevard to the intersection of 149th Avenue. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br />
