In addition, please consider a separate <br />overlay district for transportation corridors, the purpose being something similar to the following: <br />"The purpose of the Roadway Overlay District is to provide for the <br />protection and preservation of thoroughfare corridor to avoid undue congestion and <br />significant deterioration of service levels while at the same time provide for the <br />preservation and enhancement of the appearance of the roadway corridor." <br />Such a district could provide consistent standards that road authorities could use throughout the <br />corridor rather than having to meet all of the different standards for all of the districts that may lie <br />along a transportation corridor. <br />Carolyn Braun <br />
