REVIEW COR MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS PLAN <br />By: Heidi Nelson, HRA Executive Director <br />Background: <br />4L1 <br />As a part of the new brand roll -out for The COR and public relations efforts regarding various <br />project announcements, the HRA authorized a contract with Himle Horner for assistance with <br />marketing and communications. Significant work was completed for the roll -out of The COR in <br />mid -July and subsequent announcements regarding the award of the new VA Outpatient Clinic <br />and completion of the amphitheater and community events. Himle Horner has assisted staff in <br />creating an on -going marketing and communications plan that will be utilized on a day to day <br />basis to keep news about The COR and community events occurring in The COR present in city <br />communications, local media and real estate and developer related publications. Currently, staff <br />is completing work on articles for the Anoka Area Chamber Magazine, The Real Estate Journal, <br />the Minnesota Shopping Centers Association newsletter, and the upcoming edition of the <br />Ramsey Resident. <br />Staff would like to review the plan with members of the HRA and discuss the role of HRA <br />members in keeping news and information about The COR relevant for residents, local officials, <br />state and federal officials, and the development community. The COR Marketing and <br />Communications Plan is attached for HRA review. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Review the COR Marketing and Communications Plan and provide feedback to staff. <br />HRA Action: <br />Provide feedback to staff regarding the COR Marketing and Communications Plan and discuss <br />plan for HRA members to proactively provide information and news about The COR. <br />Attachment: <br />COR Marketing and Communications Plan <br />HRA: 08/31/2010 <br />
