Mayor Ramsey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10-08-171 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MINNESOTA LAWS, 2010 CHAPTER 389, ARTICLE 7, <br />SECTION 22 <br />WHEREAS, the 2010 session of the Minnesota Legislature passed and the Governor <br />signed Minnesota Laws, 2010, Chapter 389, Article 7, Section 22 which authorizes the City of <br />Ramsey to establish a tax increment financing district within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, such legislation requires local approval in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statute 645.021; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey desires the law to become effective. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That Minnesota Laws, 2010, Chapter 389, Article 7, Section 22 is hereby approved. <br />2) That the City Clerk of the City of Ramsey is hereby instructed to submit the appropriate <br />certificate and a copy of this Resolution to the Secretary of State of the State of <br />Minnesota. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember look <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />RESOLUTION #10-08-171 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
