Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #10-07-142 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2010 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION A CRACKSEALING AND SEALCOATING (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 10-O1 THROUGH 10-03) WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on May 11, 2010; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 1, 2010; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program Division A Cracksealing and Sealcoating: Contractor Allied Blacktop Co Pearson Bros Inc. Astech Surface Technologies Corp Maple Grove Mn Hanover Mn St Cloud Mn Bid $ 265,143.41 $ 276,636.03 $ 290,412.34 AND WHEREAS, Allied Blacktop Inc of Maple Grove Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Allied Blacktop Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2010 Pavement Maintenance Program -Division A, Cracksealing and Sealcoating in the amount of $265,143.41.
