Recommendation: <br />The Planning Commission met on September 16, 2010 and held a public hearing regarding this <br />request. There were no verbal or written comments submitted. The Planning Commission stated that <br />they were pleased to see a comprehensive sign plan designed and brought forth to promote The COR. <br />It was their recollection that this type of concept had been discussed during the development of the <br />guidelines for the area. The Planning Commission did discuss the dimensions of the proposed signage <br />and noted that it may make sense to allow for even a bit more height and square footage. Ultimately, <br />they recommended that City Council approve the request to allow for up to 350 square feet per sign <br />face (aggregate total of 700 square feet), which is 115 square feet more than initially requested by the <br />applicant, and a maximum height of thirty -five (35) feet, which is five (5) feet more than initially <br />requested by the applicant. The interim use permit has been drafted to reflect the additional area and <br />height recommended by the Planning Commission, should City Council approve the request for a <br />lesser height and /or area, the draft permit will need to be amended. <br />Funding Source: <br />All costs associated with processing the application are the responsibility of the applicant. <br />Commission Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #10 -09 -_ adopting Findings of Fact #_ relating to. the City of <br />Ramsey HRA's request for an interim use permit to deviate from sign restrictions established in City <br />Code; <br />-and- <br />Motion to approve Resolution #10 -09 -_ approving the City of Ramsey HRA's request to deviate <br />from sign restrictions on the property identified by PID # 28- 32 -25 -31 -0002 and declaring terms of <br />same contingent upon approval by MnDOT for an off - premises sign. <br />-or- <br />Motion to deny the City of Ramsey HRA's request to deviate from sign restrictions as proposed, <br />based on the Findings of Fact #_ <br />Attachments: <br />A.
