Stat. Section 398A.10, subd. 1 provides as follows: "A county regional railroad <br />authority may not contribute more than ten percent of the capital costs of a light rail transit or commuter rail project." <br />This section only applies to a county that has imposed the metropolitan transportation sales and use tax under <br />Minn. Stat. Sec. 297A.992. Since 10% of the $150,000,000 Phase II project is $15,000,000, neither <br />metropolitan county's contribution exceeds the cap. <br />
