CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
Topic Report: Discuss City Manager /City
Administrator Ballot Question
By: Kurtis G. Ulrich, City Administrator &
Jo Thieling, City Clerk
Background:
jAf
z.
ciq
As Council is aware, the November ballot will include the question relating to the City of
Ramsey's form of government. Staff published an article in the Ramsey Resident informing the
residents of the question as well as explaining the difference between the City Administrator
versus City Manager form of government. That article is attached to this report. The question
and explanation have also been posted on the City's website and a sample ballot has been placed
on the Public Notice Board in the lobby of the Municipal Center.
The purpose for this work session topic is to seek input on whether Council feels this is sufficient
or if there are suggestions for further information and other venues. A Ramsey Resident is
scheduled to go out on October 28 and a utility bill mailing is scheduled for October 25.
Action Statement:
Based upon discussion.
Reviewed by:
City Attorney
City Clerk
City Administrator:
CCWS: 10105110
