Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #10-09-204 RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CITY PROJECT 08-34, THE BITUMINOUS PAVING OF 151sT AND 152Nn AVENUES, AND FLUORINE STREET WHEREAS, on January 12, 2010 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation of bids from plans prepared by City staff; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 08-34, the bituminous paving of 1515` and 152"d Avenues, and Fluorine Street, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: Contractor Total Bid Astech Corp. Douglas-Kerr Underground Rum River Contracting North Valley, Ina Omann Brothers Paving Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $309,963.25 $278,810.70 $271,987.39 $298,243.77 $294,771.30 $357,009.16 WHEREAS, Rum River Contracting Co. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Rum River Contracting Company for Improvement Project 08-34, the bituminous paving of 15151 and 152"d Avenues, and Fluorine Street in the amount of $271,987.39, and 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders'the deposits made with their bids.
