What are the results of the noise study?
The results of the noise study are shown on Tables 27 and 28. Information in the tables show
receptor locations (location for where the noise is reported as shown on Figure 22), existing
noise levels, future noise levels without the project (No -Build Noise Levels) and future noise
levels with the project (Post - Development Noise Levels).
For example, if you live at Receptor #1:
• The existing noise level is 69.7 dBA.
• If the roadway is not expanded, future noise levels will be 70.7 dBA in 2030 (the No-
Build Noise Level column), an increase of 1 dBA over the current level.
• If the roadway is expanded, the noise level is expected to increase to 72.0 dBA, a 2.3
dBA increase over current levels.
• In all cases, the noise levels at Receptor #1 exceed the federal criteria for noise
abatement (shaded areas on the table).
• Because the noise at Receptor #1 exceeds the federal criteria, noise mitigation options
(walls or berms) must be analyzed.
Table 27 - CSAH 116 Reconstruction Project
Dnvtime - Mndeled Prnieet Tmnacts - Residential Reeentors
a Reeeptora,
'Existing``
,IIo Build
No $uld >s
yxSy 3 , , t
Z beve
`1?ost } >`
<
`Ioise Levels
Noise Levels
Increase Over
Deve olp eu
t
Dvelopmen
N
(io dBA «
dBA
Extshn n
1
otse evels
crease Over .

2
;-
Noise I,eveCs
u
pg
R1
69.7
70.7
1.0
72.0
2.3
R3
69.7
70.6
0.9
1 72.0
2.3
R5
69.9
70.7
0.8
72.2
2.3
R7
70.1
70.8
0.7
72.3
2.2
R9
69.6
70.3
0.7
71.6
2.0
R11
68.0
68.7
0.7
69J
1.7
R13
61.7
62.6
0.9
63.2
1.5
R15
62.0
62.9
0.9
63.5
1.5
R17
62.0
63.1
1.1
63.7
1.7
R19
62.0
63.2
1.2
63.8
1.8
R21
62.4
63.8
1.4
64.3
1.9
R23
62.7
64.4
1.7
64.9
2.2
R25
68.3
71.4
3.1
72.2
3.9
R27
68.6
72.0
3.4
72.7
3.8
R29
67.4
70.7
3.3
- 71.2
3.8
R31
61.6
64.3
2.7
64.6
3.0
R33
67.4
70.7;
3.3
J11 _
3.8
