Otson:

Tae put?ese of this [e~er ts .:o present traffic noise analysis results, assess the effectiveness of
noise mitigation measures and suggest a ~easonable noise mitigation scenario ~br the Wildlife
Sanctuary 2nd and 3rd Addidon deve[opmenm.

'Uae Wildlife Sanctuary 2nd Addition is located along ~he west side of TH 47, across from
156rh Lane No~hwest. Approximately 550 feet of this development borders :he TH 47 n~:-ot~
way. Tae development mctudes tbur sing!e-t2mii7 residences located adjacent ~o ~ 47. Taese
~r row komes are toca~ed wi~ 80 re 120 feet of TH 47.

rae Wildlife Sanctuary 3cd Addition {s located along the west side of TH 47, south of
156da Lane NoFdxwesr. ,4_ large wetland lies between this 4evelopmen: and ~he TH 47 ri~t-of-
way. Tae development includes ~3 s/iqgle-[amily residences located across :he wedand, more
than 300 feet west of TH 47.

Noise ,<nalvsis

Traffic noise impacts were assessed by modeling noise levels az residential receptor sites likely
re be most alZetxed by TH 47 traffic noise. T~e noise analysis completed ~br the 2nd Addition
analyzed the row of homes adjacent re TH 47 (represented by receptors R,*I, R-3 and R-4). In
addition, the secand row of'aomes west of TH 47 were modeted and are represented by receptors
R-2 and K-5. Kecepmr [ocaUons are shown on Figx~re I.

The noise analysis completed tbr ~he _3 rd Addition analyzed the easmrn-most row of new homes
(represented by receptors R-6 through K-10), as shown on Figure 2. These noise-modeling
receptors were selected co represent outdoor areas most sensitive co potential tra~c noise
impacts.

One Car!son ?hrkwa7 North, Suite tS0, Minnea?olis, MN 554-'_7-a.443
