REQUISITION OF CREDIT CARD <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the April 23, 2002, City Council Meeting, Council author/zed the Police Department <br />to continue usage of a Community First Visa card. This card is to be used solely by <br />authorized members within the police department and full responsibility of the card rests <br />with the police department. <br /> <br />From time-to-time, the City Administrator is in need of a City credit card for purchases <br />that require a credit card nLtmber in order to complete the purchase. Often times, such as <br />reservations for travel, companies do not accept- a purchase order number, but require a <br />credit card. <br /> <br />For internal control reasons, the City Council must first approve the requisition of a credit <br />card. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Motion to authorize the City Administrator to obtain a City.
