HRA BUSINESS
Case #4: COR Project Update (will be presented at the meeting)
Development Manager Lazan reviewed the staff report for the gun range project.
Police Chief Way believed the Department and the area could benefit from this type of a
development.
Chairperson Dehen asked if there would also be some other use along with the firing range
Councilmember Elvig questioned the location of the proposed development. He asked if it
should go to the west of the future parking ramp.
It was the HRA's consensus that they were okay with the business being in the COR, but to be
sensitive to adjacent facilities, and to work with the developer to bring back a proposal to the
HRA.
HRA Executive Director Nelson updated the HRA on the proposed theater project.
It was the HRA's consensus they were interested in a theater project, but were not interested in
donating the land for the project.
City Administrator Ulrich noted Mayor Ramsey had received a letter from the VA who was
requesting revisions to the new award factors addressed. He stated the City was not going to
make any modifications, the City would support Mr. Deal's proposal, and the offer still stood.
Development Manager Lazan noted the Facebook page was up and running.
Case #1: Consider Sale of Land Located at the Southwest Corner of Sunwood Drive
(Portions of this discussion will be closed to the Public)
Development Manager Lazan requested the discussion be moved to closed session for discussion
of the sale of land located at the Southwest Comer of Sunwood Drive.
Motion by Commissioner Ramsey, seconded by Commissioner Elvig, to move to closed session.
Motion carried.
