Councilmember <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10-11-_ <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO OPERATE A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION IN THE R-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, Cross of Hope Lutheran Church (the "Permittee") has properly applied for <br />a Conditional Use Permit (the "Permit") to operate a church on the property generally known as <br />5730 179th Lane NW, and legally described as: <br />The west 10 acres of the east 20 acres of Lot 1 Auditors Subdivision No. 27, except part <br />platted as Garden of Hope, also except road, subject to easement of record, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota <br />The east east 10 acres of Lot 1 Auditors Subdivision No. 27, subject to easement of record, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br />-Or upon recording - <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Cross of Hope Addition <br />(the "Subject Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on November 4, 2010 and conducted a <br />public hearing and recommended City Council approve/deny the request. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY" OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That this Permit shall be perpetual in its duration so long as the conditions imposed <br />herein are complied with. <br />2. That the permitted uses on the site shall be limited to a religious institution and its <br />associated activities. <br />3. That this Permit shall remain in effect for all of Lot 1, Block 1 Cross of Hope <br />Addition. The ability to expand the site operation shall exempt the Permittee from <br />requiring Permit amendments for expansions of the church facility. The Permittee <br />shall not be exempted from meeting any other applicable City Code and Building <br />Code requirements including, but not limited to, site plan and building permit review. <br />4. That, with regard to the site plan and minor plat applications, the B-1 Business <br />standards shall be utilized in reviewing the application. <br />8 <br />
