-106- <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Off-highway motorcycles- See MSS 84.793, Youthful operators. <br /> <br />6.04.06 City and State Traffic Ordinances. City and State laws shall apply to <br />the operation of recreational vehicles upon streets and highways in the City. <br /> <br />6.04.07 Towing. It is unlawful for any person to operate a recreational vehicle so <br />as to tow any person or thing on a public street except through the use of a rigid tow bar, <br />as defined by State Statute, attached to the rear of the recreational vehicle. <br /> <br />6.04.08 Equipment. It is unlawful for any person to operate a recreational vehicle <br />any place within the limits of the City unless it is equipped with the following: <br /> <br />Brakes adequate to control the movement of, and to stop and hold <br />the recreational vehicle under any condition of operation. <br /> <br />When operated between the hours of one-half hour before sunrise, <br />one-half hour after sunset, or at any time of reduced visibility, <br />recreational vehicles shall have at least one clear lamp attached to <br />the front, with sufficient intensity to reveal persons and vehicles at a <br />distance of at least 100 feet ahead during the hours of darkness under <br />no,Trial atmospheric conditions. It shall also be equipped with at least <br />one red tail lamp plainly visible under normal atmospheric <br />conditions. <br /> <br />Snowmobiles must have reflective material of least 16 square inches <br />on each side forward of the handlebars, so as to reflect lights at a 90- <br />degree angle. <br /> <br />Standard mufflers which are properly attached and in constant <br />operation and which reduce the noise of operation of the motor to the <br />minimum necessmy for operation. No person shall use a muffler <br />cutout, bypass, straight pipe or similar device and the exhaust system <br />shall not emit or produce a sharp popping or cracking sound. <br /> <br />6.04.09 Misdemeanor. Whoever violates any provision of this Section 6.04 shall <br />be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by 90 days in jail and/or a fine of $700. <br /> <br />6.04.10 Misdemeanor. Whoever violates any provision of Minn. Stat. {}{}84.81 <br />through 84.929 inclusive, incorporated herein by reference, shall be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor punishable by 90 days in jail and/or a fine of $700. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
