-278- <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE # B <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE WHICH IS KNOWN <br />AS THE MUNICIPAL REGULATIONS CHAPTER. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 5.16 ENTITLED "HELICOPTER <br />LANDINGS AND TAKEOFFS". <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey hereby ordains as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1 AuthoriW <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the charter of the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Section 2 Amendment <br /> <br />Section 5.16 entitled "Helicopter Landings and Takeoffs" shall be added as <br />follows: <br /> <br />5.16 Helicopter Landings and Takeoffs. <br /> <br />5.16.01 Definitions. <br /> <br />Helicopter - An aircraft supported in the air by rotors. <br /> <br />Emergency Landing - An unplanned and unanticipated landing of an <br />aircraft made to prevent personal injury or loss of life. <br /> <br />5.16.02 General Rule. No person shall perform helicopter take-offs or landings <br />without a conditional use permit from the City and a license from Mn/DOT- <br />Office of Aeronautics. <br /> <br />5.16.03 Exceptions. A permit shall not be required for the following: <br /> a) Emergency landings; <br /> b) Landings or takeoffs of an aircraft of a governmental agency <br /> operating in its official capacity; or <br /> c) Landings or takeoffs which the City is pre-empted from regulating; <br /> <br />5.16.04 Heliport Permits. <br /> a) A permit for a heliport may be issued by the City CounciI. <br /> <br /> <br />
