Sergeant Way replied that the Police Department hopes to get the word out as soon as possible to <br /> give snowmobilers as much advance warning as possible. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Anderson stated that there are some residents north of 159th Avenue whose <br /> driveways are being torn up by snowmobiles and inquired if it would be possible to use the fines <br /> as a source of revenue to assist in repairing those driveways. <br /> <br />Majority consensus of the Council was no. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to forward the proposed snowmobile ordinance change to the <br />Council including the changes recommended by the Council. <br /> <br />Councilrnember Hendriksen inquired if changing the ordinance would require a public hearing. <br />City Administrator Norman replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the Council would be conducting the public hearing. <br />City Administrator Norman replied that it could be scheduled that way. <br /> <br />2) Councilmember Wards <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman presented two ward options, which were established by utilizing <br />census tracks. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if the Council favored one option over another. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to proceed with Option 2. <br /> <br />City Administrator Non'nan stated that he would place the item on the Council agenda for action. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if it was not possible to follow 153~d Avenue in Ward #3. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that that segment was built after the-census tracks were <br />established in 1998. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen inquired if it would be possible to follow 153ra Avenue over as far <br />as Armstrong Boulevard or would that impact the residential counts too significantly. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that he would research that possibility and report back to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />City Council/April 8, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />39¸ <br /> <br /> <br />
