partially closed in order to achieve the security they want and how can they secure a sliding glass <br />door it if partially closed. <br /> <br />Case #5: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />The Finance Committee met on April 9, 2002 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Consider Authorization for Transportation Consultant, Leonard W. Levine & <br />Associates, Inc. <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council authorize a retainer in the <br />amount of $2,500 for the services of Len Levine of Leonard W. Levine & Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Consider Authorization of a Fiscal Impact Study <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council authorize Juran and Moody <br />to complete a Fiscal Impact Study, including the performa portion, subject to Council <br />approval on the final cost. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Approve Central Park's Entrance Project <br /> <br />The Finance Committee recommended that City Council authorize $60,000 in Lawful <br />Gambling Improvement Funds to construct the Central Park Entrance Project as <br />proposed, eliminating the wildflower seeding until the irrigation issue is resolved. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Finance Committee for Cases 1, 2, and 4. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) B & B Carpet-Ramsey Professional Building Access <br /> The Finance Cormnittee forwarded the item without a recommendation as it pertains to <br /> the $22,794 to B & B Carpet to assist them in moving the Highway #10 access in order <br /> for legal concerns to be addressed. The Committee did recommend that the City Council <br /> direct staff to extend the duration of TIF District No. 7 for B & B Carpet from 2015 to <br /> 2025. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to direct staff to <br />extend the duration of TIF District No. 7 for B & B Carpet from 2015 to 2025. <br /> <br />Motion cmTied. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, Anderson, <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that it would be beneficial to have the City Attorney at the <br />next Public Works Committee meeting when they discuss the issue further. <br /> <br />City Council/April 9, 2002 <br /> Page 11 of 14 <br /> <br />-59- <br /> <br /> <br />
