Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich inquired if the Council wanted to introduce any other option for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was no. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to direct staff to <br />bring the ordinance back for formal adoption on April 23, 2002, along with a resolution for <br />adoption specifying precinct boundary lines. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he did not think that the Charter Amendment specified a <br />transition plan. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that the Charter Amendment did include a transition plan. He <br />explained that for the 2002 election the Councilmembers that were elected in 2000 would be <br />assigned in the ward that he or she resides. Wards 1 and 3 will be elected in 2002 and wards 2 <br />and 4 will be elected in 2004.
