I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #02-XX <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE "GENERAL <br />PROVISIONS" CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 "GENERAL PROVISIONS" OF THE <br />CITY CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 1.03 ENTITLED "WARDS" <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1, AMENDMENT. <br /> <br />Section 1.03, Wards, is hereby added to the City Code which section shall provide as follows: <br /> <br />1.03.01 Authority. This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the authOrity granted the City <br />Council by Section 2.3.2 of the Ramsey City Charter and Minnesota Statutes § 205.84. <br /> <br />1.03.02 Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to divide the City into four wards <br />that are as equal in population as is practicable with each ward being composed of compact <br />contiguous territory. <br /> <br />1.03.03 <br /> <br />Ward Descriptions.' Following is the legal description of each ward. <br /> <br />WARD 1: The boundary of Ward 1 is described as follows: <br /> Beginning at the intersection of Nowthen Boulevard NW (CSAH #5) and 181st <br /> Avenue NW (County Road #64). Thence following Nowthen Boulevard NW <br /> (CSAH #5) in a southern direction to the intersection of Ramsey Boulevard NW <br /> (County Road #56) and Nowthen Boulevard NW (CSAH #5). Thence following <br /> Ramsey Boulevard NW (County Road #56) south to the intersection of Alpine <br /> Drive NW and Ramsey Boulevard NW (County Road #56). Thence following. <br /> Alpine Drive NW easterly to the intersection of Roanoke Street NW and Alpine <br /> Drive NW. Thence following Roanoke Street NW northerly to the intersection of <br /> Juniper Ridge Drive NW and Roanoke Street NW. Thence northerly along the <br /> east property line of Lot 11, Block 1, of Reilley Estates (said property address <br /> 15637 Juniper Ridge Drive NW) to the eastern City limits (Rum River). Thence <br /> following the Rum River upstream in a northerly direction to the north City limits. <br /> Thence following the north City limits in a westerly direction to point of <br /> beginning. <br /> <br />See attached City Map showing graphically the boundaries of WARD 1. <br /> <br />-89- <br /> <br /> <br />
