Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberKurak. <br /> <br />Presentation: Badge Presentation to Fire Fighter <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler and Mayor Gamec presented Ken Amundson with his Firefighter badge after <br />successfully completing the necessary training courses over the last 12 months. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec mmotmced that the Fire Department would be hosting an open house on October <br />12, 2002, from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jan Miskowic, 16906 Iodine Street NW, Rum River Hills Townhouse Association, stated that <br />their development has been there for seven years and ihey have been responsible for the <br />maintenance on their private road which is 25 1/2 feet wide and 250 feet long. She inquired as to <br />what steps they could take to make their street public. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that they would turn the issue over to the Public Works Committee for the <br />November 19 meeting. <br /> <br />Jen-y Martin, Rum River Hills Townhouse Association, inquired if there was any reason that they <br />could not have someone from staff come out and view their situation. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if the Agsociation would like to have the City Engineer-meet with them <br />to discuss their concerns. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> <br />Mr. Martin replied yes. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that they would have the City Engineer schedule a meeting with: the <br />Association. <br /> <br />Mr. Martin stated that they are paying thousands of dollars in taxes so they feel they should get <br />something in return. <br /> <br />Valerie Heller, 14111 Dysprosium Street NW, Ramsey, stated that she has been before the <br />Council several times trying to discuss the problems with Dysprosium Street. The last time the <br />residents were before the Council they were told that there would be public meetings to discuss <br />the possibility of changing the alig~zment of the street to reduce speed.
