The Council could adopt for all the other parcels and then schedule a <br />public hearing for the remaining parcels. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the $15.00 cost reduction was for the entire project or <br />only those living along 149'~ Avenue. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jm~cowski replied that it was a reduction for the entire project. <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson inquired if the large lot was assessed anything. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that it was assessed one unit. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if they were they were looking for relatively equal sized <br />parcels, then the deviser should be th~,ee additional lots. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that that was correct. He noted that another way to address the <br />issue would be at the time the development agreement is drafted. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that they could do that, but they would have to change the role. <br /> <br />Citizeu Input <br /> <br />There was no public input. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Further discussion: City Attorney Goodrich noted that if the Council closes the public hearing <br />then they will be doing so for all 143 parcels and they will have 143 assessments. If they want to <br />assess the other .unit, then they need to keep the public hearing open and staff would give proper <br />notice to that parcel. Mayor Gamec stated that he thinks that they are better off keeping the <br />assessment as is. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to the cost of conducting a public <br />hearing. City Engineer Jankowski replied that it would cost approximately $90 for the notices. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that if they start speculating on how things are going to be <br />subdivided it opens up a can of worms..He thought that it might make more sense to collect the <br />additional cost as part of the development agreement. He stated that he was inclined to go with <br />the lower assessment. City Attorney Goodrich stated that he thought the Council could <br />reasonably do that. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerrnan, Hendriksen, and <br />Anderson.
