The following sections are a summary of
our findings and research:

General Site Information

The Site is Iocated tn the NW portion of Section 23, Township 32 North, Range 25 West in the City
of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota. The Site is situated adjacent to and north of Alpine Drive
NW (I57 Avenue NW), adjacent to and west of Nowthen Boulevard NW (County Road 5) and
adjacent to and east of Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW in the southeastern portion of Ramsey. The Site
consists primarily of horse pasture and some woodland areas adjacent to two small wetlandS.
Adjacent land uses consist of residential homes, old field meadows, woodlands and wetlands.

The two wetlands located on the Site are classified as Type 3 wetlands, with reed canary grass as the
dominant plant species along with some blue flag iris. Type 3 wetlands are defined as shallow
marshes. The soils in these wetlands are usually waterlogged early in the spring and often covered
with six or more inches of water. Typical vegetation includes grasses, bulrushes, spikerushes,
cattails, arrowheads, pickerelweed and smartweeds.

The upland areas adjacent to the wetlands are dominated by red oak, black cherry, and bur oak trees;
red cedar, staghorn sumac, common buckthorn, prickly ash, tartarian honeysuclde, black cherry and
prickly ash shrubs; and smooth brome, Canada bluegrass, Pennsylvania sedge, Cleaver's bedstraw,
spotted knapweed, quackgrass, timothy, great burdock, tall goldenrod, bull thistle, common yarrow,
common mullein, common milkweed, and dandelion ground cover.

Other plant species observed on the Site included stinging nettle, gray dogwood, and slippery elm.

The Site is of undulating topography. The elevation of the Site ranges from 888 feet within the hills
along the west property line to 866 feet adjacent to the wetlands. Soils at the Site consist of outwash
sand and gravel resulting from melting glaciers. Depth to groundwater across the Site ranges from
2.6 to 23.1 feet' below ground surface (generally south to north).

Civil&Municipal 25
Engineering
Land &oveyingfor . .

I
i
I
I
I
I'
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
i
!
