been informed that there will not be any type of fencing to protect the residents from the bike <br />path. He stated that there are some smaller children in a couple of the homes and questioned if <br />they could get a fence put up along those three homes. <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson explained that as part of the River Pines 5~' addition, the City <br />required that a trail connection be made from the Evergreen Point Development to Elmcrest <br />Park. He explained that staff is attempting to work with the residents to minimize the amount of <br />tree loss, but noted that the trail will be placed on an outlot that was designated for a potential <br />frontage road. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recommended that the issue be placed on the Park Commission agenda for further <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak suggested .that the issue be placed on the Public Works agenda to <br />expedite the process. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to place issue on the October 15t~' Public Works Committee <br />meeting agenda. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson requested that item #8 Tobacco Violation and Civil Fine Notification and <br />item #9 Participation in the Safe and Sober Program be added to the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich requested that the Council meet in a closed session following the regular <br />meeting to discuss a lawsuit involving TMI Coatings, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to approve the <br />agenda as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to approve the <br />following items on the Consent Agenda adding cases #8 and #9. <br /> <br />1) Receive Monthly Report from Ramsey Police Department for August 2002 (enclosed) <br />2) Receive Report of Pooled Cash Flows Period Ended August 31, 2002 (enclosed) <br />3) Approve the following License Applications (enclosed) <br /> Contractor <br /> <br />City Council/September 24, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 33 <br /> <br />-3'/- <br /> <br /> <br />
