-458- RESOLUTION NO. 10-02- RESOLUTION ACCEPTING RESIGNATION/RETIREMENT OF POLICE CHIEF DAVID GUSTAFSON WHEREAS, David Gustafson has served the City of Ramsey Police Department since January 1st, 1977; and WHEREAS, David Gustafson was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Ramsey Police Department on April 9th, 1997; and WHEREAS, Chief Gustafson has provided the community with outstanding leadership throughout his career; and WHEREAS, staff has received Chief Gustafson's letter of Resignation/Retirement effective November 4th, 2002. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) City Council of the City of Ramsey accepts the resignation/retirement of Police Chief David Gustafson effective November 4th, 2002. 2) The City Council of the City of Ramsey extends their sincere appreciation for Chief Gustafson's service to the City of Ramsey and wishes him all the best in his retirement. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council member , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22"d day of October 2002.
