You will find the final draft of the standard agreement, staff reports (to summarize the agreement) and PowerPoint .presentations for details of our analysis. Based on 12% of the City budget being used for street maintenance we have indicated that an average of about $61 dollars (12 % of the City portion of property taxes from an average townhouse unit) per townhouSe unit is designated for public streets. . Townhome owners are served by public collector streets and arterials accessing their subdivisions even when private streets were used within the dex, elopment (and therefore we have found that townhome owners do have an obligation to contribute to public street maintenance costs). Private streets give the associations more control. They can limit use/access (trespassing), install gates and govern parking to meet their own desires for example. I hope this material is useful.
