CASE <br /> <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO VACATE A PORTION OF <br />DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT IN AMBER RIDGE; <br />CASE OF CAROLE NIELSEN <br /> By: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> and City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Carole Nielsen resides at 14950 Argon Street N.W. and is proposing to construct a utility shed in <br />her back yard.. However, a substantial portion of her back yard is encumbered by a drainage and <br />utility easement. Ms. Nielsen has submitted a request to vacate a portion of that easement. The <br />following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Easement Vacation Exhibit prepared by Hakanson <br /> dated 8/14/02 <br /> Proposed ordinance <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Anderson Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On August 19, the City Council introduced the ordinance to vacate aPortion of the drainage and <br />utility easement on Lot 7, Block 8, as requested. However, the Council also requested additional <br />information regarding the backyard elevations on Lot 7 and elevations of adjacent easements that <br />would be affected by the vacation.
