PERSONNEL COMMITTEE
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at
the Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota.

Members Present:

Mayor Thomas Gamec
Councilmember Susan E. Norman
Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson

CALL TO ORDER

Councilmember Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at
5:35 p.m.

CITIZEN INPUT

None.

COMMITTEE BUSINESS

City Attorney Goodrich stated that the Personnel Committee was going to be meeting in a closed
session to consider preliminary allegations against an employee. He explained that the City is
required to have a closed meeting unless the subject requests that it be open. This individual has
indicated that they would like it closed. The reason for the meeting is to determine if there
should be any disciplinary action taken against the employee. If the Council determines that
discipline is not warranted, then a resolution will be presented at the next regular City Council
meeting, if discipline is warranted, what type of discipline will be discussed at the next regular
City Council meeting. He also noted that the Personnel Committee would also discuss the City
Administrator's performance review during the closed session.

The regular Personnel Committee meeting cases were forwarded to the Council meeting due to
the lack of time.

Respectfully submitted,

Nanci Libor, Recording Secretary
TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc.

Heidi Nelson
Assistant City Administrator

Personnel Committee/August 13, 2002

-25-
