The issue of ~cce~ to the Water Tower is the last remaining item to be resolved.
After discussions with Brian Olson, Engineer for the City of Ramsay, we have arrived at language acceptable to
Vedzon Wireless and Brian. At Bdan's direction, Verizon Wireless has provided the City Attorney. William
Goodrich, with the revised Lease for his review and subsequent signature by the appropriate city officials. It fs
our hope this will be completed shortly.

It has come to my attention that the current CUP will become void on August 31, 2002 unless a building permit
is issued pdor to that date. Verizon Wireless is unable to make application and pull the building permit until such
time as we have reached agreement on the terms of our site lease with the city.

We are hereby requesting that the city approve a twelv~ (12) month extension of the CUP expiration datel to
August 31, 2003. Because of their, construction schedule, Verizon Wireless will likely not be able to start
construction of this site in 2002. Approval of this request will provide sufficient time for the city to review and
approve the lease and to review and approve the construction plans allowing Vefizon Wireless to obtain the
l~uiiding permit and schedule a construction start date.

Than~ you in advance for your consideration of this matter. Please let me know when the city council will
address this request so I may be in attendance should it be necessary to provide additional input on behalf of

I 763-784-5187 Office
763-717-1962 Fax

-279-
