'1 I I I I I I I I I I I I I I i Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-08-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE POLICE DEPARTMENTS OF MINNEAPOLIS AxND RAMSEY, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the 109t' annual International Association of Chiefs of Police conference is to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, October 5 through 9, 2002, inclusive; and WHEREAS, the City of Mi~meapolis has requested mutual aid from the City of Ramsey in the form of licensed police personnel during those dates; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes provide for the establishment of mutual aid agreements between law enforcement agencies; and WHEREAS, a mutual aid agreement has been drafted and submitted to the Ramsey City Attorney who has reviewed and approved as to form said agreement between the two cities; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Police Department has available a contingent of officers and equipment necessary to fulfill this agreement. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes its Police Chief to execute the agreement and to commit officers and equipment as he deems appropriate. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: .. and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13'" day of August 2002.
