018139 <br /> <br />.i. <br /> <br />Minneapolis Police Department 2002 IACP Conference Aid Agreement <br /> <br />!11. <br /> <br />Purpose, <br /> <br />The City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Police Department is hosting the 109"' <br />Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police October 4-9, 2002. The <br />Minneapolis Police Department is obligated to provide security for this conference. <br />To accomplish this task the Minneapolis Police Department is requesting the <br />assistance of other Law Enforcement agencies in the state of Minnesota. For the <br />purposes of this Agreement the type of assistance being requested is in the form of <br />sworn personnel who are licensed peace officers in the State of Minnesota. This <br />agreement is made pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.59, which <br />authorizes the joint and cooperative exercise of powers, common to the parties. <br /> <br />Definition of 'i"erms <br /> <br />Requesting Agency: <br />Sending Agency: <br />Assistance: <br />Personnel: <br /> <br />Equipment: <br /> <br />Duty/duties: <br /> <br />Minneapolis Police Department <br />Law Enforcement agencies of the State of Minnesota <br />Personnel and equipment <br />Sworn personnel who are licensed peace officers.in the <br />State of Minnesota <br />Any equipment sent with personnel including squad <br />cars and personal gear <br />Any security role at 2002 IACP Conferenc.e or IACP <br />Conference related function including but not limited to, <br />standing post, roving post, checking <br />credentials/Identification, Assisting Requesting Agency <br />in the performance of law enforcement duties as <br />authorized under Minnesota State Statute §609.06. <br /> <br />Parties <br /> <br />The Parties to this Agreement shall consist of as many Minnesota Law <br />Enforcement Agencies who approve this Agreement and the Minneapolis Police <br />Department.
