PC CASE <br /> <br />RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT RESIGNATION OF FULL-TIME CLERK II <br /> AND AUTHORIZE HIRING OF FULL-TIME CLERK II <br /> By: Heidi Nelson, Assistant City Administrator <br />Background: <br /> <br />On July 29th, 2002, Nanci Libor submitted her resignation and gave a two-week notice <br />with her last day of employment as August 9th, 2002. A copy of Ms. Libor's resignation <br />letter is attached. <br /> <br />As a result of Ms. Libor's resignation, the position of Clerk ri will be vacant. Staff is <br />seeking authorization to hire Amy Dietl, a candidate from the recruitment process that <br />took place in May for this position. With Council Authorization, Ms. Dietl will begin <br />work on August 19t~', 2002 at a rate of $33,134 plus benefits and will accrue two weeks of <br />vacation per year. Ms. Dietl's hiring is contingent on successful completion of <br />background checks and passing an employment physical and drug/alcohol screen. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that City Council adopt a resolution accepting Nanci Libor's <br />resignation from the position of Clerk II effective August 9th, 2002 and authorize staff to <br />hire Amy Dietl for the position of Clerk II at a rate of $33,134 (annually) plus benefits <br />and two weeks of accrued vacation per year. Ms. Dietl's hiring is contingent on <br />successful completion of background checks and passing an employment physical and <br />drug/alcohol screen. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that City Council adopt a resolution accepting Nanci Libor's <br />resignation from the position of Clerk II effective August 9, 2002. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that City Council authorize~staff to hire Amy Dietl for the position <br />of Clerk II at a rate of $33,134 (annually) plus benefits and two weeks of accrued <br />vacation per year.
