-60- CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RANISEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesdsy, July 9, 2002, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15 t 53 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Susan E. Anderson Councilmember Terry Hendriksen Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Member Absent: Councilmember Patti Kurak Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson Police Chief David Gustafson Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler City Engineer Steve Jankowski Police Sergeant Jim Way City Attorney William Goodrich CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Mayor Gamec commented on the upcoming primary election in September and stated there is a need for election judges. He encouraged anyone interested to call City Hall. Mayor Gamec announced the Business Appreciation Day Golf Tournament, which will be held on August 20, 2002 at the Links Golf Course, and the Happy Days Celebration, with a teen dance on September 13, 2002, and the general day with a car show on September 14, 2002. Mayor Gamec noted the attendance of Chandra IGreyer regarding the Safety Camp and invited her to address the Council. Chandra Kreyer officially invited all to attend the first Kids Safety Camp, which will be held this year. She noted the bike rodeo is no longer held and this will somewhat resurrect that function. She stated the dates are Tuesday and Wednesday, July 16 and 17, 2002. She invited fifth and sixth graders to attend and stated they have openings for approximately 120 kids and are still taking registrations.
