CC Regular Session <br />Date: 11/23/2010 <br />By: Diana Lund <br />Finance <br />Information <br />Title: <br />PUBLIC HEARING & ADOPT ORDNANCE ESTABLISHING THE 2011 SCHEDULE OF RATES, FEES <br />AND CHARGES <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Director <br />Background: <br />Effective June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91 -08 amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City Council to <br />annually set fees. <br />The City is allowed to annually adopt the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges by Resolution, but the City has <br />chosen to adopt its entire schedule by ordinance. Ordinance adoption provides the opportunity for comments at a <br />Public Hearing and gives adequate time (30 days) before the rates go into effect. <br />The attached ordinance was introduced at the November 9, 2010, City Council meeting with a Public Hearing to be <br />held on November 23, 2010. <br />The attached Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges reflect the rates & fees to be charged by the City for services <br />beginning January 1, 2011.
