RESOLUTION # 10- 11 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR REISSUANCE OF THE NATIONAL <br />POLLUTION DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM PHASE II PERMIT <br />WHEREAS, reissuance of the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System's (NPDES) Phase II <br />permit is required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA); and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is the agency responsible for enforcing <br />the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System's (NPDES) Phase II reissuance; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey applied for and received coverage under the current permit in 2003; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) that included <br />the vision for the City's response to water quality protection given budgetary concerns; and <br />WHEREAS, submitting the application indicates the City of Ramsey's intent to continue the permitted <br />activites ; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to sign the permit application for the <br />reissuance of the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System General Permit. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, <br />The following voted in favor thereof: <br />And the following voted against: <br />And the following abstained: <br />And the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />of 2010. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor <br />
