Olson, Principal City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As part of the discussion about the expansion of the Public Works facility, Staff was <br />directed to proceed with the process to combine the north and south facilities to <br />accommodate our need for additional space for Public Works. The section of street being <br />discussed tonight can be best show on the attached illustration and is described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Proposed 142Nv Avenue N.W. Street Vacation Description <br /> <br />That part of 142"d Avenue N.W. as dedicated and depicted on the recorded of GATEWAY NORTH <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of said 142nd Avenue N.W. lying westerly of the southerly extension of the east line of Lot 3, <br />Block 2, said GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK and easterly of the southerly extension of the <br />westerly line of said Lot 3. Together with the southerly half of said 142nd Avenue N.W. lying westerly of <br />the southerly extension of the westerly line of said Lot 3 and easterly of the westerly line of Limonite Street <br />N.W. as dedicated and depicted on said recorded plat of GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK. <br /> <br />Probable future public purpose for this segments can be protected with the use of <br />drainage and utility easement. <br /> <br />The proposed vacation was published according to State law and the attached mailing <br />was sent to property owners within 350 feet of the proposed vacation. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Following the public hearing council action would be to order the introduction of an <br />ordinance vacating these segments of City streets and preserving them as drainage and <br />utility easements, assuming no adverse comments are introduced.
