The City Council originally approved a conditional use permit ~$~-~ding and ~ing of soil from this property on March 25, 1997. The applicant did not initiatg~4{~¢~:c0n~hal use permit within this three-year timeframe. The applicant subsequently ~li~d!;~;r and received a new conditional use permit to mine material on May 23, 2000, which wast6 expire two years from the date of commencement of the operation, but no later than three years from the date of issuance. Material was mined for the T.H. 47 project in June 2000, and for additional uses thereafter. The applicant desires to continue the mining and grading operation to completion of the original proposal of nine acres; and has reapplied for a continuation of the mining and grading conditional use permit.
