CC Regular Session Date: 12/14/2010 By: Kurt Ulrich Administrative Services Title: Approve Agreement Between the City of Ramsey and Scott Robinson and John Amundson, dba, Wheels of Thunder Background: After reviewing four proposals for advertising in the Ramsey Resident at the December 7, 2010 work session, Council determined that they would like to continue service with Scott Robinson, dba Wheels of Thunder under a revised agreement, which is attached. Due to the fact that the Youth First Marketing payments to the City are nearly $10,000 in arrears, Mr. Robinson is amenable to having the contract modified to have 100% of advertising revenue go directly to the City until the account is made current. After the account is current, the City would split the revenue it receives for advertising 50/50 with Mr. Robinson. Under the new contract, advertisers will make payments directly to the City and the City will disburse the 50% share to the marketing firm. This will give the City better control than it has under the current contract. Funding Source: Scott Robinson dba Wheels of Thunder Contract Information Council Action: Authorize staff to execute attached agreement subject to review of the City Attorney, and report the status of contractor's performance after six months.
