Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10 -08 -166 <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE RAMSEY ROTARY COMMEMORATIVE PARK <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a formal policy in place for accepting park <br />donations, monuments, and other improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Rotary has approached the City with a plan to create a <br />memorial area in The Draw; and <br />pavers. <br />WHEREAS, the creation of that park will be funded by the sale of memorial brick <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the Ramsey Rotary Commemorative Park <br />Project. <br />2) That the final design of the Ramsey Rotary Commemorative Park is subject to approval <br />by the City. <br />3) That the Ramsey Rotary enter into a Maintenance Agreement with the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />
